ELCHE, ESPANA – MAY 23, 2017 – For the first time in nearly five years, Playboy magazine is returning to Spain. Published by Lifestyle Producciones, S.L., the first issue to be released under the new deal, will be on newsstands later this month, and will feature Ana Obregon, a well-known television and film personality, celebrating the upcoming summer season.
“Being able to bring Playboy magazine back to Spain fills an important niche that the country is hungry for,” said Lifestyle Producciones CEO Yeritzay Mendoza. “We are excited to show the Spanish market what it truly means to be a Playboy.” Ms. Mendoza has more than 20 years of experience in the events, television and publishing industry. She is also the director of Click magazine.
Playboy Espana’s Editor in Chief, Victor Antonio Martin, who just finished a stint with Playboy Venezuela commented: “I am thrilled to be part of the team that is bringing Playboy back to Spanish readers. It’s a huge responsibility of course, but it’s also very exciting to be able to work with the world’s best photographers and writers to carry on Playboy’s longstanding tradition of excellence in Spain.”
Rounding out the team will be Director of Photography, Jorge Odgalla, one of Spain’s most celebrated photographers, who brings to Playboy his vast experience from titles such as Interviu, Love, Que Me Dices, Hi and so many others.
The newest international edition of the magazine will follow Playboy’s award-winning blend of editorial content, including celebrity interviews, humor, social and political issues, lifestyle pieces and beautiful pictorials. With the addition of Spain, Playboy magazine is published in 24 countries around the world.
